विस्तीर्णप्रतीरे असङ्ख्यनृकृते
हाहाःकारेऽपि, निःशब्दन् निःस्पृहम् --
भो गङ्गे कथम् नु गङ्गे वहस्यनिशम् ?

नैतिकताम् प्रस्खलिताम्
मानवताम् अधोगताम् -
प्रेक्ष्यापि निर्लज्जम्--
वहसि कथम् ?

ज्ञानहीने अक्षररहिते,
लक्ष्यमाणेऽपि निरन्नजने
मौनञ्च कुतस्तन्- नेतृहीने ?
सहस्रवर्षैः ऐतिह्योदीरितैः
मन्त्रैः पुनः नव्यभारतम् -
सुसाङ्ग्रामिकं, सर्वाग्रगमं
करोषि किमर्थम् ?

व्यक्तौ ह्यदि स्याद् व्यक्तिवादः
समाजो भूयः व्यक्तितत्त्वहीनः -
कस्मात् प्रध्वंससे स्रस्तजनान्

त्वं हि यदि जह्नुनन्दिनी,
तत् पितृत्वम् किल नाममात्रम्,
नो चेत् प्राणेषु
प्रेरणा कथम् ?

उन्मत्तधराम् कुरुक्षेत्ररूपाम्
आलिङ्ग्य हि घोरं निद्रायमाणम् -
भीष्मसमम् भारतप्रसूतम्
जागरयसि कथम्?

This is an humble attempt to present the Great music of Dr Bhupen Hazarika in the Sanskrit Language so as to enhance and expand the scope of the great melodies the of this great cultural icon of India. Present version " Vistirna pratire " is a translated track and its original form is found as " Bistirna Parore " in the Assamese which has also a Hindi version titled "Ganga Behti Ho Kyun’ and Ganga Boiso Keno’ in Bangle.  An Unique Endeavor
( in The Assam Tribune)

Ranjan Bezbaruah, a singer, lyricist, writer & translator from Assam, plays a pivotal role in promoting and popularizing Indian music trough Sanskrit renditions.

He has been translating the lyrics of the great poets like Saint Sankardeva and Dr. Bhupen Hazarika and so on. He has also rendered the lyrics & melodies of Kaveer, Rabindranath, Iqbal, Md. Rafi, A. R. Rahman into the 'speech of the gods'. Apart from the singing talent, Ranjan's expertise in writing songs and articles is well-marked. He has been composing a lot of original songs in Assamese and Sanskrit too.

        His untiring effort is well recognized and he is honored with ‘Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Memorial Integration Award’ at Jorhat, Assam in 2014. He has been presenting his Sanskrit renditions on some prestigious platforms of the country and receiving them with warm accolades.

    Ranjan has gifted a number of music albums to the music lovers. Those are Manomohini (2008), Mriganayana ( 2011), Sagara- Sangamah ( 2012), Anandini, Devastakam (on going projects). Through these unusual music projects he tries to establish the Indian music on the International platform.
